Utah has so many beautiful and diverse locations! And not only are these Epic Photoshoot Locations, most of them are also great places for a family outing or a date night!
Before I shoot anywhere, I look up photography rules for the area and book ahead if necessary. Our goal is to always LEAVE NO TRACE. Please respect these locations- misuse of them will lead to them no longer being available to photographers and the public!
Spanish Fork River Trail
My studio is located in Spanish Fork so the River Trail makes a convenient second location for your photoshoot! The trail itself winds around the city and provides stunning views in every season.
Master Mortimer's Magical Mercantile, Springville Utah
Master Mortimer's is not only a wizarding world mercantile, they also host classes and events. The attention to detail is astounding- there's a fantastic backdrop and lots to do at every turn!
Springville Art Museum
The spanish style architecture and the beautiful gardens surrounding it make the Springville Art Museum one of my favorite places to shoot indoors and out. It can also be reserved as a unique wedding venue!
Provo Center Street
Center Street in Provo is a vibrant and eclectic collection of shops and restaurants- the city has also added numerous murals in recent years that can make for fun backdrops. Both the main store fronts and the back alleys are interesting urban settings for photoshoots!
Taste. Provo, Utah
Taste is a small batch chocolate factory and cafe in Provo Utah. They offer chocolate tastings and classes as well as other fine foods and drink experiences. The cafe itself is charming. A photoshoot and a chocolate tasting would make a great birthday or anniversary gift!
Paul Ream Wilderness Park, Provo Utah
Located in Provo, Paul Ream Park is a little piece of wilderness in the big city. Dense trees and grasses with a small stream running through and a pond make this park the ideal location for a quick shoot when you don't have time to drive up the canyon.
Vivian Park Area, Provo Canyon
Those of you looking for a beautiful wooded area, look no further! Vivian Park and Big Springs Park nearby are both stunning areas with lots of trees, trails, springs and nearby parking. Perfect for Lord of the Rings and other fantasy shoots!
Kyhv Peak Lookout, Provo Canyon
Fantastic views of Utah Valley and Mount Timpanogos make Kyhv Peak an easy epic choice. It is a popular spot, especially in the fall so be prepared for some crowds. This location is definitely at it's best at golden hour.
Utah Lake
Need a sandy beach and water? Look no further than Utah Lake! There are lots of great beach spots and parking along the east side. Perfect for pirates, mermaids, and long flowing dresses.
The Ice Castles, Midway Utah
The Ice Castles typically open in January- they are the go-to spot for snow queens and white witches. Be sure to stay for the light show when the sun goes down!
American Fork Canyon
Just, all of it. The entire canyon.
Popular spots include Tibble Fork and Cascade Springs, although I have also just pulled over in random campsites and had great success. Lots of stunning fall colors, wildflowers in the summer, and epic overlooks. A great option for witches, LotR fans, and DnD characters.
Wadley Farms, Pleasant Grove Utah
A popular fantasy photography spot because CASTLE. But really, the options on this property are ENDLESS. Besides the castle, there are vineyards, orchards, gates, gardens and various other beautiful buildings.
Evermore (or whatever it becomes...)
Sadly, Evermore is No More... but the property has been purchased and will hopefully be open for photoshoots and the public again SOON. This is another location with lots of cool buildings and options! Perfect for all your renaissance and fairytale needs.

Thanksgiving Point, Lehi Utah
Thanksgiving Point spares no expense when it comes to gardening! There's always something blooming and lots to see and do- they offer golf cart rentals so you can make it to all the best spots while the lighting is good!

- Star Wars set, Provo Utah Yes, someone rents out a Death Star hallway/room set. It's awesome.
- Dreamwalk Park, Orem Utah An immersive sci-fi experience in Orem Utah
- The UVU Museum of Art at Lakemount, Orem Utah This mansion-turned-art museum has a grand staircase and regency style architecture and gardens. Extravagance at it's best! Perfect for period drama or fantasy stylings.
- Hobbit garden, Spanish Fork Utah. Very soon my private garden will be ready for photoshoots- complete with a Hobbit door! Can't wait!
